Nicole Lorton, owner of Blush Parlour, is a passionate hair and makeup artist.  She was born and raised in Iowa.  She's a military wife and a mother of seven beautiful children!  Nicole has been very involved in her community.  She was a former Iowa Barnstormers Cheerleader, a Model for Peak Agency and the 2015 and 2016 1st runner up for Mrs. Iowa America, with her platform of supporting military children and empowering women to step outside their comfort zone. 

 

Her love for the beauty industry began when she was a little girl.  She admired her mother and both her grandmothers by their beauty.  Nicole would play beauty parlour with her grandma Coletta at the farmhouse.  She also would sneak into her other grandma Shirly’s fun bag of makeup. She would also just sit and admire her mother’s beauty while she would style her hair and apply makeup. 

 

She attended the Aveda Institute in Des Moines in 2014. After graduation, her childhood dream became a reality when she launched her own business, Blush Parlour, in honor of her late Grandmothers and Mother.  Four years later she opened up a salon location.  Her passion is to continue to share her love of hair and makeup for your special event!
